Austin Doula and Nanny Placement Agency
Expert guidance in finding professional care for your family, from pregnancy through postpartum into long-term childcare.
A Decision Worth Making Well
Finding care on your own shouldn’t feel like a second job. But finding candidates is only part of the work. You shouldn’t have to become an expert in hiring care to feel confident about who you welcome into your home. We take on the search, screening, and discernment behind a thoughtful placement, so your time and attention can stay where they matter most.
Connection Makes All The Difference
Experience, qualifications, and references matter, but they don’t tell you how someone will work with your family. We consider the details that shape everyday care, including communication, expectations, personalities, parenting values, and caregiver strengths.
Our Placement Services:
Birth Doulas: Support through pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum.
Postpartum Doulas: Care for recovery, newborns, and life after birth.
Nannies: Consistent, professional care for growing families.
Finding the right care now is only part of supporting what your family will need next. Let us help you plan for what comes after.
We've Made the Search Easier
We take on the time-consuming work behind a thoughtful placement, from defining the role and finding candidates to screening, interviews and the transition into care.
01. Plan
Start with a clear picture of the care you’re looking for. We work through your needs, schedule, priorities, preferences, and expectations together.
02. Search
Skip the applications, postings, and endless candidate search. We recruit and interview experienced professionals specifically for your family and role.
03. Vet
Know who’s worth your time before you meet them. We verify experience, speak directly with references, and thoroughly screen candidates.
04. Choose
Meet 2–3 carefully selected candidates, not a stack of résumés. We coordinate interviews and guide the process. You decide who you want to hire.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the placement process work?
Every placement starts with an inquiry, followed by our review of your family’s needs and a short questionnaire. Families who are a strong fit are invited to a complimentary consultation. From there, we send a formal proposal, and once it’s signed and the engagement fee is paid, we begin sourcing and matching candidates suited to your family’s specific needs.
How are caregivers screened?
We approach caregiver screening with the same care and discernment we’d use for our own family. Every candidate completes a multi-stage vetting process that begins with a personal interview and includes reference checks, employment and credential verification, and a review of role-specific qualifications.
For applicable professionals, we also conduct identity and address-history verification, comprehensive background checks including county, federal, and multi-state criminal record searches, sex offender registry and government watchlist screenings, and motor vehicle record reviews for driving roles. Only when a caregiver meets our standards of trust, safety, and integrity do we invite them to join our community and represent them to families like yours.
What does it cost to work with mof?
We respect your time enough to give you the real numbers up front, no consultation required.
- Nanny placements (full-time, 32+ hrs/week, or part-time, 16–31 hrs/week): $500 engagement fee plus 15% of first-year base pay, with a 90-day replacement guarantee.
- Doula placements (birth or postpartum): $750 flat fee. Since your doula is an independent contractor who sets her own rate, this fee is never taken out of what you pay her.
What am I responsible for once I hire a nanny?
You’ll pay your nanny on the books, the same as any employer: withholding Social Security, Medicare, and unemployment taxes once her wages cross the IRS threshold, and filing them on time. Paying this way also gives her real protections, unemployment benefits, Social Security credit, a verifiable income history, that come from being employed legally.
We’ve partnered with GTM to handle the setup, filings, and ongoing compliance, so this never falls on you to figure out alone.
